The MCBA serves our community in many ways by providing a high standard of building services to the Maine Area. We have fundraising events such as our annual Christmas Auction and the Home Show at Pt. Lookout, of which the proceeds are donated to local charitable organizations and to our scholarship fund, which provides local high schools students with funding to continue their education in the building trades. And finally, MCBA serves our community by building affordable homes in collaboration with local organizations. Education of our members is always ongoing, extending from the government level to the general public. We are an organization that believes in education and then sharing what we have discovered and learned. We are proactive regarding legislative and regulatory issues. Our motto is "The world is run by those who show up."

Since that time our membership has grown to approximately 175 members serving the Maine area. We are a Maine trade organization comprised of members involved in the building, banking, insurance, and educational fields of work. In February 2008 we changed our name to the Maine Contractors & Builders Alliance. This name better reflects the area we represent, due to our rapid growth of membership throughtout Maine. Our one of a kind voluntary Builders Certification program has attracted buiders and sub contractors thought out the State.
